Terms of Service
Effective date: TBD (draft) · Last updated: TBD (draft)
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Holy Journey website, formation resources, parish materials, or any related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and adult-use requirement
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and older. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
3. Account registration and security
Certain features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Parish access codes and authorized use
Parish access codes are issued to licensed parishes for use by their leaders and participants. Codes may not be shared outside the licensed parish, sold, or used by unaffiliated individuals. Holy Journey may revoke or expire codes that are misused.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, disrupting the service, harvesting data, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Intellectual property and curriculum ownership
All Holy Journey formation curriculum, guides, course content, videos, text, graphics, logos, and related materials are owned by Holy Journey or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification is prohibited.
7. Personal-use and parish-license limitations
Formation resources are licensed for personal use by individuals or for use within a licensed parish. Unless expressly authorized, resources may not be redistributed, resold, or used outside the terms of the applicable license.
8. Digital resources and downloads
Digital downloads and online resources are made available through your account or parish license. Availability may change. We are not liable for interruptions to access caused by technical issues beyond our reasonable control.
9. Purchases
Products and services are sold directly by Holy Renewal, LLC through checkout on this website or, for parishes, by invoice. Payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. Printed books are produced and shipped to you by our print partner on our behalf. Other physical items are shipped by Holy Renewal. Your order is accepted when we send an order confirmation.
10. Product pricing and availability
Prices and availability of products are subject to change. The price shown at checkout at the time of your order (or on your parish invoice) is the price you pay, plus shipping and any applicable taxes shown before you complete the order.
11. Parish subscriptions and licenses
Parish partnership subscriptions are licensed per parish campus. Subscription details, included features, and pricing are described on the For Parishes page and in the applicable partnership agreement.
12. Renewals, implementation fees, cancellation, and refunds
Parish subscriptions renew according to the terms in the applicable partnership agreement. Implementation and leader formation fees are described on the For Parishes page. Cancellation and refund policies for parish subscriptions are governed by the partnership agreement.
[PLACEHOLDER — DRAFT: Kevin and Nasrin to finalize the refund policy for parish subscriptions and individual product purchases.]
13. Shipping and fulfillment
We ship to addresses in the United States only. Shipping is never free. Individual orders are charged a flat shipping rate shown at checkout; parish orders are charged shipping by destination on the invoice. Printed books are shipped directly by our print partner, and some items, such as the Welcome Box, ship separately from Holy Renewal, so your order may arrive in more than one package. Delivery times are estimates.
14. No guarantee of spiritual, pastoral, personal, or parish outcomes
Holy Journey is a formation resource. We do not guarantee any particular spiritual, pastoral, personal, or parish outcome. Formation is a cooperative response to grace, and results vary by person, parish, and circumstance.
15. Formation is not therapy, medical care, crisis intervention, confession, or spiritual direction
Holy Journey is educational and formational. It is not psychotherapy, medical or mental-health care, crisis intervention, sacramental Confession, or individual spiritual direction. If you need such support, please consult a qualified professional, your pastor, or appropriate diocesan services.
16. Third-party links and services
The website may link to or integrate third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Holy Journey shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
19. Indemnification
[PLACEHOLDER — DRAFT: Indemnification terms to be finalized with qualified legal counsel.]
20. Termination and account suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with notice where practicable.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
22. Governing law and jurisdiction
[PLACEHOLDER — DRAFT: Governing law and jurisdiction to be supplied by Kevin and Nasrin, subject to review by qualified legal counsel.]
